Andreas Ziegelbäck won first prize in Category C of the ‘New Contemporary Music for Concert Band’ composition competition with his piece ‘Backdraft’. The competition was organised by the Upper Austrian Wind Music Association, the Upper Austrian Composers Association and the Upper Austrian State Music School Association. The new piece is expected to have its world premiere and be published in autumn 2026.
