At the 2026 European Brass Band Championships, the new work The Sleepwalkers by Andreas Ziegelbäck was the compulsory piece in the Challenge Section. A spectacular weekend featuring magnificent performances in all classes took place in Linz from April 24–26. Three composers from the Symphonic Dimensions Publishing team were featured with world premieres: Andreas Ziegelbäck (The Sleepwalkers), Otto M. Schwarz (Burn the Church), and Hermann Pallhuber (Lost Paradise). The Brass Band Wipptal was crowned European Champion in the Challenge Section following a fantastic performance of The Sleepwalkers and Peter Graham’s Metropolis 1927. Congratulations!
