Every year, the Austrian Wind Music Association sends a brass band to compete in the Champions Section of the European Championships.
Accordingly, since 2023, the Austrian Wind Music Association has organized and held an annual nationwide brass band competition at various performance levels. In 2026, this competition will take place on Friday, November 20, in Schladming. On that day, the participating bands (Brass Band Fröschl Hall and Brass Band Upper Austria) must perform their set pieces. This year’s set piece is Panic! by Andreas Ziegelbäck. The competition also marks the first public performance of this new top-level work for brass band.
